The US produced 155,000 new jobs as per jobs report for December 2012 but not a very good number from a recovery from recession. In fact, it is one of the weakest recoveries from a recession. Eventually, the economy is not that very strong and the US is not producing more jobs. The stock market was doing well in 2012 and it will be in 2013 but, somehow, it will be a little bit rough though. Further, the US will still experience the continuation of the fiscal cliff from the previous year for a couple of months before the economy is going to take off.
